Joel is the co-founder and managing director of MatchLocal. He also is an analyst and adviser specialised on improving strategies and solutions within the nexus of humanitarian assistance, peace and development.

Joel has extensive experience with the Federal Foreign Office in Germany and with the United Nations in crisis settings (South Sudan).

Diane is the co-founder of MatchLocal. She also is an international analyst, adviser and evaluator at the intersection of development, foreign and security policy. She specialised in results-based management.

Diane conducted case studies on multi-level governance for in UNDP projects and is currently supporting CGIAR (the global research platform for a food-secure future) in localizing its research capacity development approach.

Anna Feiereisen

Advisor

Anna is an advisor at MatchLocal specialized in donor relations, monitoring & evaluation, and conflict research.

She has worked with organizations such as the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Kenya, and, the Arnold Bergstraesser Institute, with a focus on donor relations and project coordination in conflict regions.

Lena Hoffmeister

Advisor

Lena is an advisor at MatchLocal, with a background in local community development, partnerships and communications.

She has experience working with refugee communities in the Middle East and working for the economic justice movement on the European and international level.

Lasse Juhl Morthorst

Advisor

Lasse is an Advisor at MatchLocal with academic and consultancy expertise in international project management, research, and fieldwork.

As a researcher and practitioner his focus is on participatory local responses within the humanitarian-development-nexus and migration/displacement issues. Lasse has worked across Africa, MENA, and Asia, and have led research initiatives, contributed to policy recommendations, and facilitated workshops with various international and local organisations.
